I went out in Edinburgh last night, so Niamh and I treated ourselves to sushi in a lovely restaurant on Forest Road today. After our meal the wee woman gave us little cat phone charms, cutest evaaa! Also, bought a new shirt for £3. Successful day!

Lack of laptop = lack of tumblr posts. The past few days have been pretty nice though. Yesterday Luke and I went to the hospital as he needed a heart scan. The doctor was so lovely (whereas I usually get someone who just tries to get the job done without explaining to me what is going on!), so it was quite refreshing. He explained to us exactly what he was doing, using medical terminology whilst using ultrasound (I just nodded politely). It was so strange seeing his heart on a screen, all the valves moving and blood flowing. I know this sounds soppy & silly but it made me realise how fragile we all are - skin, flesh, muscles, bones and all of our organs fitted inside this vulnerable casing. After a few minutes Luke was given the all clear, shook our hands and sent us on our way. It was a comforting yet strange experience.
